A good leader delegates to:
- Share the responsibility of getting the job done;
- Develop mutual trust and self-confidence in co-workers; and
- Help build future leadership for the organization.
Delegating well depends on recognizing that the leader cannot do everything alone because:
- There are not enough hours in the day;
- Everyone has personal priorities; and
- Delegating builds new leadership.
